Welcome to Brackenhurst our comfortable family home, located in Russells Water, near the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang duck pond, set high on the Chilterns above Henley-on-Thames. The adjacent 230 acre common and miles of woodland footpaths offer superb walking.
Red Kites abound, since being reintroduced on the Getty estate, just over the fence deer are commonplace, and at the same time we are just minutes away from Henley, and an ideal base for visiting Windsor, Oxford, Blenheim, Marlow, Watlington, Wallingford, with easy access to both the M40 & M4.
Heathrow is 40 minutes away, making us ideal for that relaxed stopover before flying. Luton airport is 1 hour away, Gatwick is 1 hour 20 minutes (best not to ask about Stanstead!).
Henley offers restaurants for every taste and budget, a multi screen cinema, the delightful Kenton Theatre, the River and Rowing Museum, and a weekly market. The Mill at Sonning Dinner Theatre is nearby, as are the three major theatres in Oxford, and the Wycombe Swan theatre.
Stonor Park lies at the bottom of the hill offering classical concerts during August, the VW rally, as well as hosting one of the largest craft fairs in England overthe August Bank holiday..
